My name is Mark Klinger, and I am the Project Lead the Way Coordinator and STEM Teacher for the middle school. I am a long time a parishioner at St. Thomas More in Chapel Hill, married, and the father of two children, one who is an engineering student at the University of Dayton and one who is working as an architect. I have a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Washington and worked as a professor for 29 years at the University of Arkansas, University of Alabama, and UNC—Chapel Hill. I have a large number of research publications in cognitive neuroscience and autism. I have taught a great many classes at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I retired from the university in 2018. Since that time I have worked as a middle school long-term substitute teacher at both Saint Thomas More (Math) and St. Michael the Archangel in Cary (Science). I am excited to be teaching STEM at STM with the aim of combining creative problem solving and scientific reasoning to improve our world.
