My name is Marilyn Stuit (pronounced Stite). I received my bachelor’s degree in teaching from the University of Northern Iowa and my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas. I began my teaching career in 1986. My first years of teaching were in the Nebraska and Kansas public and Catholic school systems, where I taught grades 3-6. Since 2010, I have enjoyed teaching my fifth-grade students here at St. Thomas More Catholic School, a God-centered community in which I feel blessed to be a part. I am grateful for my wonderful supportive husband and our 21-year-old daughter who will be graduating this year from UNCA. My hobbies include reading, gardening, hiking, and running.
