2nd Grade Teacherjmaloneystmcsnc.orgI have been teaching since 2011 and I have taught kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade and 7th grade. I am originally from Los Angeles, California. Prior to teaching, I worked in the medical field as an office manager, worked in human resources in New York City, and spent the last 8 years in retail management working for companies in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. I received my bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, CA.
I entered the teaching profession after my first daughter was born. It was a huge sacrifice to return to school at my age and with an infant, but it was one of the best decisions I have made. My husband’s career has brought us to Chapel Hill, and we are so happy to call North Carolina home, and feel blessed to be part of the St. Thomas More School community.
