I am from Chapel Hill and attended St. Thomas More from Pre-K to 8th grade, graduating from the school in 2008. I went on to Cardinal Gibbons High School and then The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I received a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Archaeology in 2016. Since finishing my undergrad studies, I have lived in a variety of places from Mumbai to Cape Cod, Cleveland to Northern California, while holding numerous unique jobs. Joining the STM staff in 2018, I was an aftercare counselor and substitute teacher while serving seasonally as a federal wildland firefighter, first with the National Park Service and then with the Bureau of Land Management as a sawyer for the Diamond Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew. After hanging up my fire boots, I returned to Chapel Hill and became the 4th and 5th grade assistant teacher at STM for the 2021-2022 school year. In addition to supporting four incredible homeroom teachers, I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® and coach the Carrboro High School Girls Lacrosse team and for Team91 Carolina Girls Lacrosse. I am also a writer, and this year I am applying to MFA in creative writing programs across the country!
