Jennifer de Lima began her teaching career 18 years ago as the middle school Spanish teacher at St. Thomas More Catholic School after having lived in Mexico for several years working in international business and before that in nonprofits in California. She is happy to join the St. Thomas More School community once again as the 7th/8th grade Spanish teacher. After the first go 'round at STM, she gained experienced in the local public schools while at Phillips Middle School in Chapel Hill for six years. She also taught at Immaculata Catholic School in Durham.
Jennifer runs a successful summer language immersion camp business, Immersion Island, sharing the love of language learning throughout the summer. She is originally from California, where she graduated from UC Irvine in Spanish language and literature. She also speaks Portuguese. She and her husband Jorge, originally from Brazil, have three grown children and three grandchildren.
